{ I’m Still Around }

I’ve been wanting to stop by to share all the things going on with me but, like usual…. I can’t find the time! I guess is a good thing to be busy but, sometimes I feel as if I want my “stay at home” days back! I’m really happy with everything that has been going on lately and among all, I feel very grateful! My life as a photographer has taken a toll… I finally got my photo degree last week! I thought I would never say this but, it’s oing to feel strange not being in a photo class, on a critique room,  in the photo lab, around other photo friends, etc… I’ll miss those days….but regardless… I’m happy! I hardly have any time for myself lately! Not a good thing… no time for scrapbooking, no time for painting, art journaling, or mixed media projects! Not fun…. the only fun thing I do  is to take photos, capture moments and record memories for wonderful people! Fun.But,  I would like to do the other fun stuff, too! I’m grateful though… yes indeedy! Very grateful! God’s been good to me and has been with me from the get-go…. Oh yes. Now a days I hang out here, and  if you would like to see more of my work, please join my Facebook Page, here.  Have a nice day everyone!

{ Am I going insane? }

Am I crazy or what???

Yes! Meet the new addition…. Gizmo! (I insists we name him Oreo intead) Lol! He’s 3 months old and so adorable! This house has been crazy since these two pups! And I’ve been asking myself these couple of weeks….Diana so…. is not enough with a dog, two cats, a turtle, two teen-agers, and a six year old? Why add another pup? Am I insane or what? Lol!!!

These moments are priceless and I love it! So… YES! Is not enough! It’s worth every single moment of it!

We just love it!!

Have a good evening and a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for reading!

{ Last Year }

{Warning: ** This is a long one! ** }

This past year (2009) was such an exciting year for me. Too many things happened to add joy and happiness.  Last year was the year that I officially got my feet wet and acted out in faith to run my photography business. I am most thankful for the talents the Lord has placed in me! Thankful for the gifts that I discovered I had and for the courage God gave me to use them without any fear and doubts! I also received my first degree in the spring and will obtain my second degree (photography) this coming spring! And as I sit here and think back to a few years ago, I can recall the day the Lord told me that He would give me the opportunity to go back to school and become a professional! He sure is faithful and whatever He promises it becomes a reality!

In November I got a part time job. And I can’t go on without saying how happy I am for it! It was also a God sent.. lol. I thought that I would ONLY run a photography business  but God had other plans for me as well. This job has given me the opportunity to bless others and to make a difference in other people’s lives. I love it! I had mentioned before my position in this organization but, just in case you didn’t read a few blogs back, I will mention it again. I’m honored to work with the community doing outreach and prevention education on HIV and AIDS. I’ve learned so much in the past months since I’ve been at this place. And I don’t know if you know but, I love to learn new things! Lol! The best thing about this job is that there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that it was placed in front of me with a purpose. And yes… I say “placed in front” of me because it was! I wasn’t looking for it and it was not on my mind to go out and find a job because I thought I will only run my photo business. Little did I know that God had other plans as well. Yes I do continue to offer my photography services to others and still run my photo business because I love doing it and because my passion is to create memories for others as well as for myself. But, I also love to bless and help those in need. So hey, I got both of best worlds! Words cannot express the feeling inside of me right now! And I only have one person to thank for this…. My God!

This past November we decided to add a new member to our family, meet Blaze:

He’s a spaniel mix, is now one year old and is such a wonderful dog! We just love him so much!

Last semester we had a project assigned to us in one of my photo classes. This was open to whatever project you wanted to take. I decided to do a documentary book about my dad. I was so surprised when I received an email from my college a few weeks ago telling me that I was one, of six students, whose books from the Individual Projects class that were selected to be purchased by the college to be the first books to begin a shelf of student self published books in the college’s library. Wow! Can you believe that? My gosh! I’m so excited about this! I can’t believe it! I did my book through Blurb, and you can check out a few of the pages here and if you feel inclined, you can buy it too!!! He-hee!

One last thing I have to mention about last year is the sibling reunion I had! I have three other siblings from my dad’s side and one of them, the oldest, I had not met yet. Finally we met this last fall! It was the best and most unforgettable siblings reunion! We had so much fun and for the first time all six of us were together, all at once! Lol! She’s a musician and you can check out her website, if you’d like! Here’s a few pictures of that reunion:

Last year I met so many wonderful people! I’ve made so many friendships! It’s unbelievable! Many through school and others by internet. I don’t know how my life would be without them (you)!

I want to share with you a few projects and assignments I did in 2009:

And finally, a few of the Children Come Alive series from this post

As I continue through life’s journey, I can’t stop thinking what this year will bring… Many changes in deed… many trials but, many many wonderful things I’m sure!! Next post, I want to share with you my personal plans for 2010! Be blessed and again, thanks for reading this long post!
